Course Description

Spain, a country in Southwestern Europe is known for the variety it offers. Right from the rich architecture at Barcelona to the Football craze, the Spanish parties at Ibiza to the amazing food and beaches, you have it all in Spain.  Spanish is spoken in 21 countries. It is the 2nd most spoken language in the world with 444 million speakers. By 2030, almost 7.5% of the world population will speak Spanish. 16% of the total population in the U.S. speaks Spanish making it the most in-demand language globally. Be it working for a Spanish MNC or relocating to Spanish-speaking country, you will have to learn this popular language.

Overview of Levels

Each language has a certain number of levels that are in progression from basic to advanced

Basic Course Plan for Adults

Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking skills are assessed at each level.

Crash Course

Along with full term courses , we also offer crash courses for all languages to enable you to get an overview of the language and also to understand the language along with your love for it in a better way before taking the big plunge . Crash courses are usually termed at 10-15 hours which are enough to give you an insight to the language and the country’s culture.

Customised Course

Each person has a different reason to study languages. Some study it as a hobby , for immigration, as travellers, for their jobs , studying abroad, etc. Keeping in mind all the requirements, we also customise courses depending upon your need and area of focus. The duration and fees vary depending upon the requirements and the course is planned accordingly.

Academic Course

We also offer tuitions for academic courses for 11th & 12th standard and also to school students for all boards all standards.

Elementary Use of Language

A1

The person can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases.

Can introduce him/herself and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows, etc. Can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help

A2

The person can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).

Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.

Independent Language Use

 

B1

The person can understand the main points of familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc.

Can deal with most situations likely to arise while travelling in an area where the language is spoken.

Can produce simple connected text on topics that are familiar or of personal interest.

Can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinion and plans.

B2

The person can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in his/her field of specialization.

Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party.

Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of certain topics.

Autonomous Language Ability

C1

The person can understand a wide range of demanding and longer texts. 

Can express ideas fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions.

Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes.

Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.

C2

The person can understand with ease virtually everything heard or read.

Can summarize information from different spoken and written sources, reconstructing arguments and accounts in a coherent presentation.

Can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations.

Course Plan for Kids

The Language Academy has launched a Hobby Spanish language course for youngsters. Under this course the basic A1 and A2 shall be divided into A1.1 AND A1.2 & similarly A2.1 and A2.2. Further levels can be normally learnt following the same pattern as of the Language Course for adults.

This is an amazing way for kids to spend their free time and be engaged in acquiring a new skill. The Language Academy strives to make the most complex things seem easy and fun. Get to interact with others of a similar age and enjoy the experience of learning Spanish together. With songs and stories, dance and drama, movies and much more. And at the end of the course, they can happily say: ‘aprender español es divertido!’ (Learning Spanish is fun!)

Certification

At the end of each level a certificate proving the proficiency of the student shall be handed over to the student by The Language Academy. In addition to that, at the end of each level the student shall be eligible to appear for the International Exam thereby obtaining - DELE Spanish Diploma certificates level wise which are official titles certifying degree of competence and mastery of the Spanish language, granted by Spain's Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport. The Instituto Cervantes organizes examination sessions, while the Universidad de Salamanca in Spain designs the exams and oversees corrections and the final evaluation of all exams.
